Performing Factory Reset or Hard Reset

Warning: 
This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your device and any programs that have been installed. You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your device to an operational state.

Important Instructions:

  • If you have an external memory, you must remove it to avoid losing your important data since the process of hard reset will erase all content in its path.
  • As the internal memory can not be removed, I suggest you make a complete backup of your important files, because the hard reset will delete all data types existing files.
!!!!! Make sure you have device charged up to 70%.

Hard Resetting Through Phone Settings:
  1. Your Tab should be switched on.
  2. Go to Settings from the main Menu.
  3. Tap on Back&Reset > Factory Data Reset.
  4. Choose Reset Device and then Erase Everything if you want to clear all your data. 
  5. Select OK to confirm.
Hard Resetting Through Phone Buttons:
  1. Turn Off your Tab.
  2. Press and hold together: Volume Up + Home + Power button together for a few seconds.
  3. Release the keys when the Samsung Logo appeared.
  4. Select "wipe data/factory reset" by scrolling with Volum button and confirm with Power button.
  5. Choose "Yes--delete all user data". Use Volume Down to scroll and Power button to select.
  6. After complete choose "reboot system now" with Power button.
